I write every page of this site in Obsidian, as plain markdown notes kept alongside the rest of my work. A build script I wrote turns them into the site with Pandoc. Each note says where it sits and what it is, and the site assembles itself around it: the cards, the tag pages, the contents lists and the share images all come from the notes’ own fields.
There is no JavaScript. The filters, switches and image viewer are plain HTML and CSS. Pictures are converted to WebP at the sizes each screen needs, and videos play only when you ask them to.
It is served by Caddy from a server I run myself. The type is Montserrat.
